Informal Settlement and Teenage Prostitution in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria

Informal settlement which sometimes used as synonym of slum, has over the years led to various social problems such prostitution and many others. Base on this, paper examined informal teenage in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Two objectives were raised guide study. The study area is Yenagoa capital city survey design, also adopted primary secondary sources. 150 respondents constituted population size purposive sampling technique was adopted. Mean standard deviation t-test constitutes method for data analysis. findings revealed that urban slum poor family background are responsible Yenagoa. concludes recommends renewal programme dwellers well government other institution even individuals embark economic empowerment programmes dwellers.
